At McCarthy Catholic College we encourage parents and guardians to develop a close and supportive relationship with the college. The partnership between home and school is seen as a vital component in the development of our students.

Communication between the school and parents is very important, and during the school term parents are given the opportunity to attend information evenings to find out what is happening at the college and to be given the opportunity to raise any issues.

If you have any further questions in relation to school times, dates, policies or other general enquiries please feel free to contact the College by phone on 4735 3211 weekdays between 8:20am and 3:30pm.

At McCarthy Catholic College we have high expectations of student behaviour, uniform and punctuality in an atmosphere that encourages positive values, self esteem, self discipline and independent thinking.

We encourage all students to be actively engaged in their learning and respectful of the learning environment of the College.

Ordering from the Canteen

The College’s healthy canteen is run by coordinators at our school and works through the generosity of parents volunteering. This is a way to meet new friends and is a valuable service that is provided to the school, as well as helping to project funds back into the college.

To avoid disappointment and enable students to enjoy the variety of food on offer, we would like to encourage the students to order their lunch through homeroom or by placing their order in the black box outside the Canteen before school or at recess.

How you can help

Parents can volunteer to help in the canteen, which operates every day of the week. Please contact the canteen coordinators Mrs Adele Taylor or Mrs Michelle Jones at the College if you would like to become part of the team.

Thank you for your support.

We regularly acknowledge student’s achievements and publish photographs. If you do not wish your child to be identified in this way in the newsletter, website or other publications such as the local paper and CEO publications, please notify the college in writing.

Students are required to use this card to borrow books from the library. Please note that if your child loses their ID card they will be required to purchase another one at a cost of $10.00.
