'Lots of practice': Sydney students sail through second day of NAPLAN
As students around Australia faced their second day of NAPLAN testing on Wednesday, Elijah Butterfield, 14, said he found the reading exam "quite relaxing".
"I'd been preparing at home as well as at school; I'd been doing simulated test conditions and we were given digital copies of previous NAPLAN exams to just go through," said Elijah, who is in year 9 at McCarthy Catholic College in Sydney's west.
More than 1 million Australian students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 are sitting four NAPLAN tests this week, as contention around the standardised tests grows.
